Notes
How often should you actually deep clean?
The honest schedule we recommend to our own clients — and the rooms most people over- or under-clean.
Most homes don't need a deep clean every month — and almost none need one less than twice a year. Here's the schedule we quietly recommend to our own recurring clients in Austin.
The baseline
- Kitchens: a deep pass every 3–4 months. Grease film builds slowly and then all at once, especially above the range.
- Bathrooms: every 2–3 months for grout and glass; weekly standard cleans hold the line in between.
- Baseboards, blinds and vents: twice a year is genuinely enough in most homes without shedding pets.
When to break the schedule
Allergy season, a home sale, or the first clean after a renovation all reset the clock. A post-construction clean is its own animal — fine dust settles for weeks, so we schedule a follow-up pass about a month after the first.
If you're on a weekly or biweekly rhythm, tell your team lead which rooms are drifting, and the next visit can give them extra time.
